MotorShare is for anyone with a passion for exotic cars, who wants to experience the fun and enjoyment of using these vehicles, without the hassles that go with ownership

Yes, we allow you to share your membership with 1 other member of your close family (husband / wife / son / daughter / father / mother / close friend). During signup simply nominate another person to join your membership.

We offer both annual and monthly payments, via credit card or automatic payment.

All vehicles are the property of MotorShare Holdings LTD and our agreement with you allows you to charter the use of these vehicles. As such you do not own the vehicle.

You will be responsible for paying an annual subscription fee for a period of 12 months at a time, at which point you may choose to cancel. These fees may also be paid monthly.

You may be able to operate your membership as a business and take advantage of some tax deductability. Please speak to your accountant to confirm.

Our team are available to answer any questions, and to help if you need it. We operate a live support chat service for all of our members.

You can pay for your membership annually or monthly using credit card, or bank transfer / automatic payment.

Yes, our team will show you through each car and ensure that you are comfortable before you drive away for the first time. If you need further assistance, our team is always available to help.

There is no deposit required, however we do require a credit card that we will hold on file. This will be used for any incidentals which may occur (damage up to the excess amount, overage KMs, unpaid membership fees)

Our contracts are annual (12 months), and are renewable at that time, so you are committed to a maximum of 12 months at a time.

Yes, our members must be 25 years or over. This is an insurance requirement

Our plans all include an unlimited KM allowance. Please note that there are some restrictions on where you can drive the vehicle and excessive KM limits apply.

Yes, when you join MotorShare our team will run a background check to ensure that our members have a satisfactory driving history. If you have any concerns please talk to our team.

Yes, MotorShare is licensed by Waka Kotahi as a transport service provider. All of our vehicles are subject to a regular certificate of fitness as commercial vehicles.

Yes, all of our cars are self drive and during the booking period you have complete access to your vehicle. Only you (or your shared membership partner) may drive the vehicle

MotorShare takes care of all maintenance aspects of the vehicles in our fleet.

Your car will be ready with a full tank for collection, we ask you to return it the same way (else additional costs may apply)

Our vehicle fleet is available at our head office, 27 Walls Road, Penrose, Auckland. We are also able to drop off your vehicle (subject to availability / additional fees apply)

Yes, we can drop off the car to you. This must be specified during the booking phase, and is limited to the Auckland region. Additional fees do apply.

MotorShare takes care of all vehicle insurance. An excess will apply for any damage to the vehicles. We offer an excess reduction for an additional fee.

All of our vehicles come with full AA Roadside assistance in the unlikely event of a breakdown

Gold & Platinum members get access to all of the vehicles in our fleet, Silver members get access to the Private Collection after 12 months. Please see our vehicles page for the current list.

We expect our members to treat vehicles with care. We will conduct a valet cleaning service in between member bookings.

You may take the vehicles anywhere in the North Island as long as you return it by the end of the booking. Please note that we do have a fair use clause for KM use and usage over this limit will incur additional fees.

Yes, for the safety of our members all vehicles are GPS tracked and monitored for safe driving.

In the event that you have had an incident we recommend that you contact emergency services straight away if needed. Once you are safe you should contact our team for further assistance. You should ensure that you collect any relevant information about the incident including details of any other involved parties, photos of the damage for all vehicles, and contact details for any witnesses / involved parties.

All of our vehicles are fitted with dash cams to protect our members in the event of an incident. These should not be tampered with.

Yes, please contact us or book an appointment to meet with the team. We will happily take you for a test drive (subject to vehicle availabilty)

Yes, all of our cars are 100% road legal, and undergo 6 monthly COF (Certificate of Fitness) inspections

No, our vehicles may not be used on the track. Any track use will result in instant membership cancellation.

Yes, we have secure parking for customers vehicles.

Our booking calendar has been created to ensure fair and balanced bookings amoungs members.

The minimum booking period is 1 day

We do offer daily experiences with a limited range of our vehicles. Check out our daily experiences here

Your usage will depend on the membership package that you choose. You will be allowed a certain number of days of booking during the year. There are some rules to ensure fair balanced usage between members which our team can explain.

Our vehicles can be picked up / dropped off anytime Mon-Sun between 7AM and 8PM from our office in Penrose. We may also be able to accommodate earlier / later times by special arrangement.

Yes, absolutely - our pickup/drop off hours are 7AM - 8PM everyday.
